Blood Donation! A Boon To Life

This Blog is about how we experience internal peace on different aspects we look at but today I give different perspective on the topic I wrote!!!!

This is/has/was observed by several of us that we always support Blood Donation Camp carried out by NSS people/Hospitals/et all. How pure the blood is when it is transferred or injected to another human beings body ????  Can we answer this?

I agree people and blood go through different tests before , to confirm that no other virus is injected to other human being!! Many a times this is not the case and this is bitter truth.

I witnessed this three times while at church gate station different college students and others are sitting to take blood they get very happy when they get person who is donating blood becoz they get points on it. The more points they get they win awards i felt it. Not being in medical field in too deep being a psychologist though I realize that Dr go through hemoglobin test before taking blood not only that they ask on various disease we have gone through in past one year and which medication we are on to too.

When i told them have gone through so and so medication and disease in these three weeks they were still to take my blood they never asked on the form but as rules suggest my blood should not make other victim is my moral responsibility. I have come across the case before wherein a lady who was gun shot was given blood full of jaundice bacteria and the body was fully paralyzed. Instead of going well at home she was totally handicapped. This lady was the only earner of her four kids.

This makes me ask Citizens who Donate Blood Are we going through right method of donating blood . Is it giving a life like patience of Thelasemia / Accident cases a life or is it hampering lives instead of just a life.
